This year has been a crazy ride. I graduated college with honors! I also saw more cons than I've ever seen since I started going to conventions back in 2008! By the end of November I will have attended Anime Boston, AnimeNEXT, ConnectiCon, Dragon*Con, New York Comic Con/Anime Festival, and Anime USA, all in one year. Most of these events were firsts for me!
I've met great people, made wonderful friends, and made huge progress on my "Level 100" photography project; climbing from the 7 characters I had at the end of 2010, to 29 characters! And the year isn't over yet. I've also been writing convention reports for Jolt Photography, an effort which has given me the exciting opportunity to attend some conventions as Press.
Looking ahead, I know I won't be attending as many conventions in 2012. The travel costs and hotel stays do add up, even when you get a press badge. I've got to be good and be stricter with myself! XD I've also got some important life stuff that I have to put money into. I am currently planning to attend Anime Boston, AnimeNEXT, and New York Comic Con/Anime Festival though. Looking even further ahead, I hope to make it back to Dragon*Con in 2013. My Dad is also convinced that one of these years will find me in San Diego for a certain little gathering out there. We shall see.
I want to thank everyone who has made these cons special for me, whether it was by being an awesome roommate, having dinner together, posing for photos, taking photos, helping me find my way, or just sitting around for two hours talking about anime the day before the con began... Thank You. <3
Thank you, too, to everyone who has helped me with my work on You've Got Character: Level 100. The project would be nothing without you guys. You enthusiasm, encouragment, and participation are more appreciated than you know.
So I guess that's the State of the Autumn. Hopefully I'll have more pictures to add before 2011 ends, but if not? I'll see you in 2012. ^-^
